Biography
Meenka Maharaj is an associate in the Manhattan Office, with a practice focused on civil litigation defense. Prior to joining the firm, Meenka gained extensive experience handling diverse defense matters involving high-exposure claims, including cases related to environmental incidents, recreational and amusement venues, sports and entertainment liability, the Defense Based Act, and other complex tort actions. This background has equipped her with a detail-oriented approach to litigation strategy and client advocacy.
After graduating early with a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs and Political Science from Florida State University in 2015, Meenka went on to obtain her Juris Doctorate from New York Law School in 2018, receiving admittance to the New York State Bar in 2019. In 2024, she was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Aside from her involvement in the New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association, outside of the office, Meenka enjoys archery, is a classically trained dancer with over sixteen years of experience, and has an appreciation for science fiction.
