Biography

Thaddeus J. Rozanski is a member in the firm. He received a BA from St. John’s University, Queens, New York in 1977, and a JD from George Washington University National Law Center, Wash., DC in 1980. Thereafter, he began his legal career as a Lieutenant and Staff Attorney with the U.S. Coast Guard, Office of Chief Counsel. This included several years working in the Claims and Litigation Division in liaison with the Department of Justice in representing the Coast Guard in litigation across the country.

Currently, Mr. Rozanski serves as a senior litigator to the firm’s clients in handling matters of high exposure or complexity. He has successfully handled trials and appeals within both New York State and Federal Courts. He specializes in the field of medical malpractice. He has served as defense counsel for a major New York City hospital for over 25 years. Mr. Rozanski has authored a series of risk management newsletters for a national dental malpractice liability carrier, and has lectured on these issues as well.

Mr. Rozanski also focuses on complex construction accident litigation. He has participated, at both the trial and appellate levels, on suits against owners/developers, general contractors, and sub-contractor employers. Mr. Rozanski has lectured extensively on the application of New York law to such actions for numerous national liability carriers.

Mr. Rozanski also handles matters in premises liability, motor vehicle, and civil rights litigation. Mr. Rozanski is a member of the Defense Research Institute, New York State Bar, and the Nassau Suffolk Counties Trial Lawyers Association.
