Wrongful Death

In May of 2016, Doug Perry obtained a defense verdict in Queens County, New York on behalf of his clients, a large tertiary care facility and general surgeon in a case involving a claim by the Estate of a patient who it is claimed was prematurely discharged from the hospital following major abdominal surgery. The patient passed away within hours of her discharge from what was found on autopsy to be a pulmonary embolism. The decedent left behind 8 surviving daughters who sued on behalf of the Estate.
